I know that at a few points I said I would write up some reflections on TXF s4 after it was done but, I really didn't have any. I have a few ideas about persistent flaws with the storytelling on this show, but they're so persistent that I wasn't sure this was the time to get into them. Then by the time I realized I was taking a break from this show for a while so I probably should have done them at at this point, my mind had moved on to other things. So if and when I come back to reviewing TXF I'll see if I find another time (or many) to bring those ideas up.

Right now I'm taking an actual planned break from doing reviews until after into the new year, when I'm going to start a project I'm calling 2020 hindsight. Actually I'd settled on what I was going to watch next and then I decided I'd just keep doing shorter projects instead of trying to keep doing these long ones since that seems to burn me out.

The goal (and considering my track record of late, you're allowed to doubt this panning out as planned) is to do a bunch of short lived TV shows in the coming year. This should help me avoid the burnout I've had with the bigger projects, and allow me to talk about a bit more variety, and in some cases finally get to shows I've been meaning to check out for a while.

If I stick to this plan it will probably put my potentially-returning review series on hold for a while. But I also foresee myself wanting to try reviewing AoS and the Arrowverse more fully once things wrap up, plus there are still several seasons of TXF to get to. So don't be entirely surprised if I sometimes throw in a trickle of other reviews; but also don't be surprised if it doesn't happen. Unless I just can't stick to the shorter shows and course-correct back to longer things. This blog is notoriously unpredictable.

For the first project I'm going to be reviewing: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, starting from the original Terminator movie.

I have a list of other ideas but I'm also open to suggestions. Especially for things I haven't thought of since a lot of what's on my list currently are things I've seen and therefore thought of.

Here's my qualification list
-Less than 50 episodes though preferably less than 25, anything over 30 needs a good case made.
-Less than two seasons (just to be clear on no long running short seasons)
-Has been off the air for at least 5 years.
-Was canceled without finishing its story (beyond a quick wrap up)
-I prefer hour long shows, but the right half hour show could get on the list.

And my list of possible shows (and how likely)
-Dollhouse (quite likely)
-Firefly (very likely)
-Freaks and Geeks (moderately likely, but I'd need to find it, is it still on Netflix?)
-Legend of the Seeker (somewhat likely, might be a bit long)
-The Middleman (quite likely, but not sure it would be good reviews)
-Now and Again (presently the front runner for after TSCC)
-Pushing Daisies (quite likely)
-Space Above and Beyond (likely)
-Wonderfalls (likely if I can find it)

A few under consideration (in spite of rule breaking/bending)
-Agent Carter: breaks the five year rule, and was loosely planned to be part of the AoS reviews
-Caprica: doesn't break the rules, but sort of feel like I should review BSG first...suppose I could technically review original BSG if I can find it
-Crusade: not technically against the rules, but usually think of it as part of doing B5 reviews
-Life on Mars: was completed so shouldn't be on the list, but always worth rewatching and talking about. Also could do A2A which both ended and technically had three seasons. Suppose if I could track down the American version...
-Once Upon a Time in Wonderland: as a spin-off/side-show I'm not sure how this one does by most of the rules.
-Robin Hood: breaks the number of seasons rule, and arguably the got a wrap up rule (YMMV), but would probably be on the list anyway if I hadn't reviewed about half of it fairly well a few years ago, but I do like reviewing this dumb show
